Cool and Unique Gift Ideas for Dirt Bike Riders - Risk Racing

If you live with a dirt bike rider, you know the move. They roll in from a ride, hop off, squat down, and muscle the whole bike up onto a stand while making noises that don’t belong in a garage. One of our customers, Sherri, watched her husband do that one time too many and bought him our RR1 ride-on lift as a gift. Her review says it all: “No more watching him lift his bike onto the old stand.” That’s the secret to shopping for a rider. Find the thing that kills a hassle they deal with every weekend of dirt biking, and they’ll think of you every time they use it.

The perfect Dirt Bike gift is designed for repetitive use, impact, exposure to mud/dirt, and is comfortable. It makes life easier, safer, avoids repair costs, or helps them perform better. Look at reviews, make sure it’s long-lasting and pick a budget. Gift prices range from $10 to 100’s of dollars.

Whether it’s for a birthday, Christmas, or Father’s Day, we’ve sorted these cool, unique gift ideas by how big you want to go, from affordable stocking stuffers up to the gifts that make a rider’s whole year, with a section just for the kid riders at the end. Every gift here comes from Risk Racing or our sister brand STKR Concepts, both based in Troutman, North Carolina, where our headquarters has its own motocross track and trails for putting gear through the wringer.

A lot of these gifts work no matter what bike they ride, which helps if you don’t have a clue. Where fit matters, we’ll tell you what to check.

Here’s the list. Click any one to jump to its section.

Best Dirt Bike Gift Card

Risk Racing e-gift card with the RISK logo over a motocross rider photo

Risk Racing Gift Card

What makes this a great gift?

Skip the guesswork and get them a gift card. You don’t need to know their bike, their size, or whether they already own a stand. They pick what they actually need, and you still get the credit for it.

  • Delivered by email, with instructions to redeem it at checkout
  • No added processing fees
  • Good across the whole store, from stocking stuffers to the big stuff

Customer review:

Perfect Gift - “I know my nephew loves Risk Racing but had no idea what he needed, so this was a perfect gift! He loved it!” - T. C. on Sep 15, 2017

Dirt Bike Stocking Stuffers

Small, cheap things a rider uses every single ride. These are the gifts riders don’t think to buy for themselves until they need one at the track.

Rider pulling a motocross glove on over a black Risk Racing palm protector

Best Dirt Bike Palm Protectors

What makes these a great gift?

Blisters come with riding. Hang onto a set of bars bucking over the ground for a couple of hours and the skin between the thumb and index finger pays for it. That doesn’t mean it has to end a ride early.

Palm protectors are a thin second layer of skin worn inside the glove. They’re cheap, and a rider who races will go through more than one pair. For more on why they work, read how palm protectors prevent motocross blisters.

  • Very thin palm protection that acts as a second layer of skin
  • Covers the palm and bridges the sensitive grip area between the index finger and thumb
  • Comes in three sizes, so check their glove size first

Customer review:

Palm protectors - "Actually the palm protectors are my son’s , he has a pair that he has wore out and needed Some new pairs so I purchased them for him for Christmas. He loves them , they work out great for him.” - Justin S. on Jan 01, 2019

Risk Racing FUSION 2.0 motocross grips lined up in green, blue, orange, red, and yellow

Best Dirt Bike Handlebar Grips

What makes these a great gift?

Nothing kills a ride faster than a grip that spins on the bar. Every rider has a story about it, and none of them are good. A dirt bike is a lot of machine to control, and you can’t control it through a grip that moves.

The FUSION 2.0 grips from Risk Racing skip the glue and the safety wire entirely. That makes them one of the easiest upgrades you can give, and one of the few a rider will notice on the very first ride.

  • Fusion Bonding System, no glue or safety wire needed
  • Bonds in about 10 to 15 minutes
  • Dual compound, ergonomic grip
  • Five colors, so you can match their bike

Customer review:

“These grips are amazing! Super easy to install and they do not slip at all! Dried in under 5 minutes. Super happy! Will buy more for my other quads and bikes !” James, Jul 01, 2022

Risk Racing Mud Grips foam cover sliding over a dirt bike grip, with a slide over any grip arrow

Best Dirt Bike Handlebar Accessories for Wet/Muddy Conditions

What makes these a great gift?

Mud happens. When it does, even good grips turn into bars of wet soap. Mud Grips just slide on over the grips a rider already has and make that slop feel dry again. They cost about as much as lunch and they can save a whole race day.

  • Slide over MX, ATV, MTB, and BMX grips
  • Ultra-thin foam compresses down to almost nothing, so the grip doesn’t get fatter
  • Reusable

Customer review:

No Slip Grip! - “Mud grips have lasted a full 3 hrs in a downpour mudfest hare scramble for me. Were they trash after 3 hours of racing? Certainly. Were they worth $8 for only one race? Hell yes they were! These grips simply slide over the top of the rubber grips already installed on your handlebars. They're made of a lite foam that squeezes down to almost nothing. They add virtually zero width to your normal grips but the "traction" that they give your hands when they are wet/muddy is unreal. They don't slip/spin around and your hands don't slip ever. They're basically like cheating when it's muddy out. Don't run these when its dry out, you'll just ruin them for no reason. But if it's raining/muddy out, you'll never regret putting these on your bike, guaranteed.”-Matt W. onJan 29, 2018

Hand sliding a red Seal Doctor tool up under a dirt bike fork seal

Best Dirt Bike Fork Seal Solution

Fork seals on a dirt bike take a beating. The suspension lives in dirt, mud, and roost (the dirt and rocks a spinning tire throws), and a tiny bit of grit caught in a seal is enough to make it weep oil. Riders tend to assume a leak means a rebuild, and a rebuild means specialty tools or a trip to the mechanic.

What makes this a great gift?

The Seal Doctor is a small tool that clears dirt out of a leaky fork seal without taking the fork apart. Slide it in, twist, and pull the trapped dirt out. Most of the time the leak is a dirt problem, and this handles it in seconds. If the seal itself is damaged, it still needs replacing, and the Seal Doctor won’t change that. For more, see why fork seals keep leaking.

  • Clears leaky fork seals without disassembly
  • Comes with a protective holder, so it lives in the tool bag
  • Two sizes: small fits 35 to 45mm forks, large fits 45 to 55mm. Most full-size bikes use the large

Customer review:

Works Every Time - “I've had the Seal Doctor for years. Works great every time” - T83 on Jun 10, 2020

Back of a black Risk Racing t-shirt printed with Fueled By Risk

Dirt Bike T-Shirts, Hats, and Apparel

What makes these a great gift?

A rider can never have too many moto shirts. Tees, hats, hoodies, and more rotate through the Risk Racing apparel collection all year, so there’s always something new to wear to the track, the shop, or anywhere they want people to know they ride. You don’t need to know their bike for this one. Just their size.

Customer review:

“Got this for my boyfriend for his birthday and it is his new favorite. Feels super soft and looks good on him! Now he wants the rest of them!” Carmen C., Apr 12, 2021

Still hunting for stocking stuffers? The store keeps a running list of gifts under $25 and gifts under $50.

Solid Dirt Bike Gifts

A step up. These are the gifts that fix a real problem at the track or in the garage, without going all in.

Red and black J.A.C. V2 motocross goggles with a mirror lens resting on a dirt bike seat

Best Dirt Bike Goggles

Goggles need to seal out roost and give a wide, clear view, whatever helmet a rider is wearing. They take a beating and get replaced constantly, so a fresh pair is a gift nobody turns down. These are ideal for riders on private property, mountain trails, or motocross tracks.

What makes these a great gift?

The J.A.C. V2 goggles come ready for tear-offs, so a rider can clear their vision mid-ride without stopping to wipe them down. The lens swaps out quickly, and replacement lenses are available when conditions change.

  • Four tear-off pins molded into the frame, so tear-offs stay put in roost
  • Quick-change lens, with clear, mirror tint, and HD REVO replacement lenses available
  • Anti-fog, scratch-resistant polycarbonate lens
  • 50mm silicone-backed strap and multi-layer, sweat-wicking foam
  • Removable nose guard and a microfiber bag for storage and cleaning

Red Risk Racing Mud Axe scraper and red Seal Doctor fork seal tool together as a combo

Best Dirt Bike Tool Combo

What makes this a great gift?

This is the Seal Doctor from the stocking stuffer list, plus the Mud Axe, packed together as one gift. The Mud Axe is a purpose-built mud scraper with three working edges for fenders, foot pegs, linkages, and wheels. Riders usually clean all that off with a stick or a screwdriver. Now they don’t have to.

  • Two tools a rider will actually use after every muddy ride
  • The Mud Axe is a heat-resistant composite, made for dirt bikes, quads, and UTVs
  • The size choice is for the Seal Doctor: most full-size dirt bikes take the large, and smaller bikes like an 85cc usually take the small

Customer review:

“My wife got me this for my birthday and I must say it works as described and saved me lots of time!” Dick V., on the Mud Axe, Jul 17, 2017

White EZ3 3 gallon utility jug with the black Hose Bender spout, locked into an EZ floor mount in a garage with a dirt bike behind it

Dirt Bike Utility Jugs

Race day runs on fluids: race fuel, oil, water, and whatever else the pit needs. A lot of riders haul all that out to the track or the trails in whatever containers they have lying around. Even if they already have something, there’s a better way. Read our utility jug buyer’s guide for the full breakdown.

What makes these a great gift?

The EZ Utility Jug has three handles, so you can change your grip as the jug empties and keep control of the pour the whole way down. It’s built for the racetrack and the trailer, not the lawn mower.

  • Two sizes: EZ3, 3 gallon or EZ5, 5 gallon
  • Thick-walled HDPE with an adjustable anodized aluminum breather
  • Add the EZ Floor Mount to lock it in place for transport
  • Add the Hose Bender spout for a steady, controlled pour

Customer review:

Best Gas Cans I Own! - “These are now the best gas cans I own. I have the 3 gallon gas can and the 5 gallon gas can. Use them for my families racing addiction. VP race fuel is expensive and I hate spilling or wasting even a drop. These gas cans are the only thing I will put my race fuel in.” - Debbie D. on May 19, 2020

Hand holding a TRiLIGHT ShopLight V2 by the handle with its three LED heads folded out

Best Shop Light for Dirt Bike Work

Working on a dirt bike under bad light is a special kind of frustrating, especially when you’re chasing down a problem. Bikes don’t get worked on in a showroom. They get worked on in a garage corner at 9 p.m. with a flashlight in someone’s teeth. Hook a rider up with better light and you’re a hero every time they grab a wrench.

What makes this a great gift?

The TRiLIGHT ShopLight V2 from our sister brand STKR Concepts is a modern drop light. Plug it in, hang it from its hook or hold it by the handle, and aim three separate LED heads wherever the work is.

  • 5,000 true lumens from a 50-watt LED, plenty for bike work (here’s how many lumens a work light needs)
  • Three rotating heads: fold them into a 360-degree drop light or open them up into a shop light
  • Built-in outlet in the handle to plug in a second light or a tool
  • Hanging hook, 6-foot cord, and it weighs about a pound and a half

Customer review:

Will recommend: “Great light! Multiple position and bright where you want it” Dan D., Dec 10, 2024

Three Risk Racing motocross jersey and pant kits in red white and blue, black and yellow, and white

Best Dirt Bike Jersey, Pants, and Gloves

Riding gear adds up fast, and finding gear that actually holds up and stays comfortable is harder than it should be. Riders need it every time they ride, and they wear it out.

What makes these a great gift?

Jerseys, pants, and gloves are sized like regular clothes, which makes them easier to shop for than you’d think. Tops and bottoms are sold separately, so you can match a set and still get the right size for each. New designs come through the Risk Racing riding gear collection regularly, so check it for the current lineup and colors.

Go-Big Dirt Bike Gifts

Want to spoil them? These are the gifts a rider has been eyeballing for a while and won’t buy for themselves.

Rider wearing mud-caked roll-off goggles with the RIPPER unit mounted on the goggle strap

Best Goggle Roll Off Wireless Solution

What makes this a great gift?

If your rider already runs roll-off goggles in the mud, the RIPPER takes the next step. Roll-offs normally mean taking a hand off the bars to pull the cord. The RIPPER pulls it for them at the tap of a wireless button on the handlebar, so both hands stay where they belong.

  • Clears goggles in as little as one second
  • Works with almost any roll-off goggle; the full compatibility list is on the product page
  • Auto-burst mode or momentary and continuous mode
  • Sync multiple RIPPERs to one remote for quick swaps on race day
  • Rechargeable, with a manual override in case of damage

Customer review:

Safety First!! - “I have two boys (12 and 16 years old) who have been doing hare scrambles for a couple years. We heard about the ripper and wanted to try it out. The boys love it!! Very easy install and use. And-- the benefit for a "dirt bike mom" they are far more safe with their hands on the handlebars. Thanks Risk for such a cool and easy product. We will back for more, I am sure.”-Liz onApr 22, 2020

Black Risk Racing A.T.S. stand with red adjustable legs that level the top to the bike

Best Dirt Bike Adjustable Stand

What makes this a great gift?

This stand adjusts to the bike, so you don’t need to know what they ride to buy it. It lifts both tires off the ground, which is exactly what a rider needs for washing and maintenance. And since most dirt bikes don’t have kickstands, it’s a safer way to park one, too.

  • Fully adjustable top that levels the bike
  • Both tires off the ground
  • Magnetic side panels hold nuts and bolts while they work

Customer review:

GREAT DESIGN FOR LEVELING!: “This stand is an excellent design, allows for the bike to be positioned in a way that allows it to sit more level front to back and get that front tire off the ground.” Justin C., Jul 17, 2025

Black Risk Racing RR1 ride-on lift stand on a white background

Ride-On Lift Dirt Bike Stand

What makes this a great gift?

This is the one from the top of the article. The RR1 is for the rider who’s done deadlifting a dirt bike onto a stand. They roll the bike on, the stand rises to meet the frame, and a push on the foot lever lifts the bike fully off the ground. It’s a big help for shorter riders and anyone who rides enough to be sick of the lift. More options are in how to lift a dirt bike onto a stand.

  • Ride on, no lifting
  • Foot lever raises the bike off the ground
  • Works with motocross bikes from 85cc to 450cc. The size is usually in the model name: a YZ250F is a 250, a CRF450R is a 450

Customer reviews:

LOVE THIS STAND!: “My wife got me the RR1 stand for a Xmas gift and I can’t stop talking about it. No more hips and back hurting from putting my bike on a regular stand.” Dewayne, Aug 07, 2026

“Got this for a birthday gift from the kids! I had been eyeballing it for a while. … I like rolling the bike onto the stand better.” Scott F., Aug 11, 2025

Then there’s getting the bike to the ride.

Black Lock-N-Load holding a dirt bike upright by its foot pegs on a trailer floor

Best Dirt Bike Strapless Transport System

What makes this a great gift?

The Lock-N-Load is an easier way to haul a dirt bike, with no tie-down straps. The rider rolls the bike in, presses the jaws down onto the foot pegs, and it locks in place. No wrestling with ratchet straps in a dark trailer, and no cranking the forks down to hold the bike still. For every way to haul a bike, see our tie-down system buyer’s guide.

  • Clamps onto the foot pegs, no straps needed
  • Fits full-size motocross bikes with a foot peg height of 15 to 17.5 inches
  • Frees up trailer space for more bikes, gear, and equipment

Customer review:

Bike lock - “This has to be one of the coolest and most secured item I have ever bought. It's nice to know that after spending $8000 dollars on a new bike for my son it is a big piece of mind to know it is secured on the trailer. Thank you Risk racing, customer for life” - Chuck on Jul 10, 2020

Lock-N-Load Pro holding a dirt bike by its foot pegs, with the ratcheting arms and red adjustment knobs in view

Best Adjustable Dirt Bike Transport System

What makes this a great gift?

Go all out on hauling. The Lock-N-Load Pro is the upgraded version, with ratcheting arms that adjust to fit a range of bike sizes. If they swap bikes, or haul more than one, this is the one that keeps up.

  • Rubberized jaws lock onto the foot pegs
  • Ratcheting arms adjust to fit motocross bikes from 85cc to 450cc
  • For smaller bikes, see the Pro Mini in the kids section below

Customer review:

Awesome! Made it possible - “This product is fantastic. I am now able to fit 3 bikes securely in our Sprinter van. The bikes are two full size and a Supermini, all two strokes. Love the product. It makes everything so much easier. Buy it, it is worth it.” - Sam C. on Mar 26, 2020

Off the trailer and onto the track.

Dad holding the trigger of a Holeshot manual starting gate and signaling his son, lined up on a dirt bike at the gate

Best Motocross Starting Gate

What makes this a great gift?

Races are won and lost off the gate, and most riders only get to practice starts on race day. A practice starting gate lets them rep starts at home as many times as they want. It’s a gift a racer will use all season, and one a parent and kid can use together. Our holeshot training device buyer’s guide goes deeper.

  • The Holeshot manual gate drops on a cable trigger run by a helper, resets with a foot pedal, and needs no batteries
  • The Holeshot Pro is electronic, with a random drop and a wireless remote a rider can mount to the bars to practice alone
  • Link multiple Holeshot Pro gates for head-to-head starts

Customer review:

GRANDSONS APPROVED!: “So far the grandsons are loving it
3 year old knows how to use it!!” Susan P., on the Holeshot Pro, Sep 26, 2025

Dirt bike on a stand parked on a black and red Risk Racing carpeted pit mat

Best Motocross Pit Mat

What makes this a great gift?

A pit mat gives the bike its own spot, whether that’s the garage floor, the trailer, or the pits at the track. It catches the oil drips, the dirt, and the bolt that would otherwise roll under the truck. It’s the kind of upgrade that makes a rider’s setup look like they mean it. For the rest of the setup, see our guide to motocross pit setup.

  • The Carpeted Pit Mat has low-pile carpet, a non-slip rubber backing, and a rubber border
  • The Factory Pit Floor Mat rolls up and comes with a zippered tote bag for hauling to the track

Bright white garage lit by the MPi ceiling light, with a car parked and bicycles hanging on the wall

Best Garage Ceiling Light for Dirt Bike Work

What makes this a great gift?

The ShopLight lights up the bike. The MPi from STKR Concepts lights up the whole garage. It screws into the existing ceiling fixture and spreads five points of light into every corner, so there’s no rewiring and no electrician. For more ideas, read the best lighting for your motorcycle garage.

  • 7,500 total true lumens across five points of light
  • Installs into a standard ceiling fixture in minutes
  • Motion sensor with adjustable sensitivity
  • Built-in USB port

Customer review:

Love it! - "Love our new light! My dad got it for us as a present and my husband and I are impressed by the way it is so much brighter than a normal light bulb! It is like day and night! Will totally recommend! Great Christmas present!" - Kathryn on Oct 30, 2019

Dirt Bike Gifts for Kids

Kid riders grow fast, ride hard, and need the same kind of gear the grown-ups do, just smaller. For affordable dirt bike gifts for kids, most of the stocking stuffers above work for young riders too, and the picks below are built for smaller bikes. If they’re just getting into dirt biking, read what’s a good age to start motocross.

Three Risk Racing youth motocross jersey and pant kits in red white and blue, black and yellow, and white

Youth Dirt Bike Gear and Apparel

What makes these a great gift?

Kids outgrow gear about as fast as they wear it out, so a new jersey, pants, or gloves is always welcome. Check the youth riding gear collection for what’s current, and the apparel collection for shirts and hats.

Blue youth dirt bike held upright in a Lock-N-Load Junior strapless transport system

Strapless Transport for Youth Dirt Bikes

What makes these a great gift?

Hauling the kid’s bike shouldn’t mean another round of tie-down straps. The Lock-N-Load comes in two youth versions, both clamping onto the foot pegs with no straps. Measure the bike’s foot peg height before you buy.

  • The Lock-N-Load Junior fits most 85cc motocross bikes, with a foot peg height of 12.5 to 14.75 inches
  • The Lock-N-Load Pro Mini has ratcheting arms that adjust to fit youth and mini bikes from 50cc to 110cc

Silver Lock-N-Load Pro Mini transport system with red locking jaws on a white background

Customer reviews:

LIFE JUST GOT EASIER!: “Awesome product! I bought the Lock-N-Load Junior and standard Strapless Moto Transport System for my son’s dirt bike, and it has been a game changer. Loading and unloading is quick and easy, and it keeps the bike secure during transport in our enclosed trailer. It saves time, eliminates the hassle of straps, and gives us peace of mind every trip. I Highly recommend it!” Eric C., Jun 25, 2026

LOADING MADE EASY!: “Perfect addition to our toy hauler. Makes loading after a race a breeze. Fits our KTM50SXs perfect.” Scott M., on the Pro Mini, Dec 17, 2025

Conclusion

Think back to that rider hauling a bike onto a stand in the garage. The best dirt bike gifts are the ones that take a chore like that off their plate, and every gift on this list does that somewhere: at the gate, in the trailer, in the mud, or under the bike with a wrench.

You don’t have to know the difference between a fork seal and a foot peg to get it right. Pick a budget, pick the problem they complain about most, and go from there. If you still can’t decide, a gift card never misses.

And if they’ve been eyeballing an RR1 for a while, you already know what to do. Sherri did. No Risk. No Reward.
